Last May, my husband and I decided to try IVF. Before that, we had done a lot of research online about the IVF medical process, and we also listened to IVF and artificial insemination experiences shared by friends and family. In the end, we decided to visit BRCIVF for an in-person consultation.
Although our plan was delayed for two to three months after the initial examination due to the pandemic, once I began medication to prepare my eggs, Dr. Hui-Po Li carefully adjusted my medication plan. Since I was already approaching advanced maternal age, I knew that my physical condition was no longer the same as when I was younger. However, the detailed explanations from the doctor and nurses helped reduce much of my anxiety.
Although the number of eggs retrieved was not particularly high, during embryo culture, Dr. Li also explained the advanced technologies and methods available in modern reproductive medicine. This greatly reduced the worries of infertile couples and significantly increased our hope of still being able to have our own child.
Although the IVF process was difficult and physically demanding, every follow-up visit, egg retrieval, and embryo transfer at BRCIVF was personally handled by Dr. Li. I was able to successfully conceive after only one egg retrieval and one embryo transfer.
What I want to recommend is not only BRCIVF’s comfortable environment, which helps reduce the anxiety and restlessness often felt while waiting at medical institutions, but also the professionalism of the BRCIVF team and their attentive care for every patient who comes for consultation and treatment.
Finally, I graduated from BRCIVF in January this year. I am now five months pregnant. Although my prenatal checkups are being done at another hospital, I still receive caring messages from BRCIVF, which truly shows how thoughtful they are.
