Shared by Head Nurse Yi-Chun Chang of Yun-I Reproductive Center:
Mr. and Mrs. Kang had been married for 3 years but had not been able to conceive. At first, they did not think there was any major issue. It was not until family and friends encouraged them and introduced them to Yun-I Clinic and Dr. Hui-Po Li that they decided to seek medical consultation.
After a series of infertility examinations, they discovered that the issue was with the husband: azoospermia.
Mr. Kang shared:
“Receiving the diagnosis of azoospermia was like a bolt from the blue for us. We felt deeply disappointed and could not accept it at first. After going through a period of disappointment, frustration, and even thoughts of giving up on having children, we still could not let go of our love for children.
Because both my wife and I truly love children, we came back to Yun-I again, hoping to hear Dr. Li’s advice. After Dr. Li and the nursing consultant gave us detailed, professional analysis and encouragement, we decided to take the step of accepting sperm donation, hoping to fulfill our dream of having a child.
Now, my wife is finally more than 5 months pregnant. Every time she feels the baby move, we feel incredibly happy and touched.
We are sincerely grateful that we made the right decision at that time. We are also deeply thankful to Dr. Li, not only for the medical care he provided, but also for standing in our shoes and helping us overcome the psychological barriers.
Now, the two of us finally have the opportunity to move forward toward happiness and fulfillment.
We are truly grateful to the Yun-I team for helping us make our dream come true.”
For mild sperm abnormalities, pregnancy may be achieved with the help of sperm washing by embryologists and intracytoplasmic sperm injection ICSI:
